We attributed that terrorism to Osama (?)! Under the Clinton administration in approximately 1996, the NSA picked up a cell phone conversation in the wilds of Afghanistan that gave us Osama’s position! We launch cruise missiles from either the Missouri or New Jersey on station in the Indian Ocean (? location) to take out bin Laden! Unfortunately, we missed the intended target thus enraging Osama against us even more vehemently! We all know what happened on 9-11-2001! It was rumored in the aftermath of 9-11 that Osama had renal problems! Since he was on the run in the Afghan outback without the benefit of a specialist in nephrology, some people including me believe that he died of kidney failure in the early 2000s and thus his legendary status was insured by the ensuing cover-up of his demise by his ardent comrades in arms! I think he is like Hollywood’s depiction of El Cid riding out one more time in death to cause the large Moor siege army to turn tail and retreat in dishonor! Evidently and most unfortunately, Osama turned the tables on the Christian West!
