I just came home from a costly visit to the Main Street Pub. Some young estrogen driven female bartender charged me $3.00 instead of the usual $2.50 for a plain orange juice. She was showing off her either natural or humankind enhanced mammary glands. Anyway, I left a $1.00 tip and took my orange juice and meandered on home. On the way I dripped some of the orange juice onto my right pant leg, so I angrily threw the remainder of the OJ into the bushes of Marriott Courtyard Hotel on Lafayette Square. I also bought two 3 Musketeers candy bars at the local Walgreen’s for $0.79 apiece and tax. I had to stand in line for a while at the drugstore while the point of sale (POS) terminal rebooted or just got real slow.

I asked one of the idiot female volunteers at the Legacy Museum of the Troup County Archives if the facility was interested in software development history. Of course, she said no without even frigging asking the curator about my request. I need a good home for my extensive archive of computer programming and software development code base. I own 100% of the copyrights on my software from 1988 to 1996 and 2005 to today. I have a very good set of anecdotes and artifacts to show about the evolution of computer software development.

Is every encryption/decryption algorithm expressible as a complicated function of and, exclusive or, or, and negation gates? Since all encryption/decryption algorithms are computable then I think the answer to the previous question must be yes. Let us the take the only known encryption/decryption algorithm of perfect security, namely the vaunted and invincible exclusive or cipher, which may be stated as follows: given an infinite random bit key, K, a starting point along the key, s, and a bitwise oriented message, P of length n-bits, then the cipher-text message, C[i] = K[i + s] ^ P[i] for each 1 <= i <= n, where the bit operator ^ is the exclusive or operator. We have 0 ^ 0 = 0, 0 ^ 1 = 1, 1 ^ 0 = 1, and 1 ^ 1 = 0, as the exclusive or truth table. Now the exclusive or cipher is invulnerable to cryptanalysis as long as a different starting point s is always chosen and no section of the key is repeated. The perfect security property of the cipher is assured by the randomness and secretiveness of the key bits and choice of s such that s’ = s + n where s and n apply to the previous message’s starting point and length. A book cipher created by using a known book to the operative and her/his organization and a page number, paragraph number, and sentence number starting point within the book can be used a rough approximation to the exclusive or cipher. Each letter of the cipher-text is created by applying the exclusive or operation to a key character and plaintext character.

We launch cruise missiles from either the Missouri or New Jersey on station in the Indian Ocean (? location) to take out bin Laden! Unfortunately, we missed the intended target thus enraging Osama against us even more vehemently! We all know what happened on 9-11-2001! It was rumored in the aftermath of 9-11 that Osama had renal problems! Since he was on the run in the Afghan outback without the benefit of a specialist in nephrology, some people including me believe that he died of kidney failure in the early 2000s and thus his legendary status was insured by the ensuing cover-up of his demise by his ardent comrades in arms! I think he is like Hollywood’s depiction  of El Cid riding out one more time in death to cause the large Moor siege army to turn tail and retreat in dishonor! Evidently and most unfortunately, Osama turned the tables on the Christian West!

Sometime in early 2018 Cyndi(a) Darlene Burks-Burden befriended a Ukrainian citizen who was trying to become a U. S. citizen. Her name was Anna Davidovich “Russian sounding Last Name”. She had a son named Max who was in elementary school. Anna was a welder of mufflers at Sewon:

Sewon is a KIA supplier of mufflers. Anna was born in Kiev, Ukraine in either late 1986 or 1987. The Chernobyl nuclear accident occurred on Saturday, April 26, 1986. Anna claimed to have a birth defect from radiation exposure of her mother while Anna was in utero. Anyway, to make a long story short, I would up chauffeuring Anna, Cyndi(a), and Max around town for too little money. Anna and Max were both very intelligent but appeared to be know-it-all individuals for all practical purposes. Anna left her job at the KIA supplier and became a restaurant server and then perhaps returned to Pennsylvania to get her life back together.

This is a gigantic shout-out to my friends at the Troup County Jail and Pathways Center Second Season. First, we dispense with my 127 days in Pathways Center Second Season. Thanks to Merry B. I wound back in jail so I could be released around Thanksgiving. Here is to the crew at Pathways Center Second Season: Merry B., Tameka (sp?), Malaysia (sp?), Shelana (sp?) Welch, Lunar (sp?), David Cohen, Alfonzo Sample, Ronald James Bonner, Jr., Parish, Antionette, Victor, Matthew (Matt) Riding, Randy, James Winfred Henry, etc. Now for 72 to 75 days in jail first in Booking 704 and then in Booking 703. I want to congratulate Sergeant S. Barnes, Sergeant Webb, Sergeant Calhoun, Officer Holcomb, head nurse Susie, etc. for keeping me safe and sort of skinny relative to my current weight. I still owe Sergeant S. Barnes $7.00 USD for cab-fare on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.

I sorely miss my best friend at Pathways Center Second Season specifically Merry B. However, I do have a not so fond memory of her hugging me on October 17, 2019 and asking me not to forget the staff of Second Season while I was being handcuffed and taken off the jail for another 14 + 26 = 40 day stay. Sergeant Barnes gave me $7.00 USD to get a cab to the hotel that Susan Williams Harrison, my sister, arranged for me to spend the night of November 26 -27. I did get to talk on a cellphone (smartphone) to Merry B. when my sister and I visited Pathways Center Second Season on November 27, 2019. Merry B. stated she was working with autistic kids so she could cuss and fuss around her patients/clients/consumers. Merry B. sounded very good to my nearly deaf ears.

 

As I have stated in several different forums, I started programming computers (software development) in the Summer of 1978 at the grand old age of 24 years old. I was very old for a junior at LaGrange College. My mother was also a late bloomer getting her psychology degree and teaching certificate at LaGrange College in 1959 or later. She was 40 years old in 1959 (born January 15, 1919). She had a two-year Alabama teaching certificate from Jacksonville State College (now University) which she attained in the late 1930s. My maternal grandmother also had an Alabama teaching certificate from I seem to recall the early 1900s or possibly 1905 to be exact. Back to me. My first computer language was Dayton and Data General’s interpretive language Beginner’s All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code (BASIC). I taught myself the language and shared some of my “secrets” such as the MAT (Matrix) statements in BASIC to Professor Kenneth Cooper. Professor Cooper taught me more BASIC (Fall 1978), FORTRAN IV (Winter 1979), and Intel 8080 or 8085 assembly and machine language (Spring 1979). I then taught myself Nicklaus Wirth’s Pecan Pascal and Modula-2 in the Spring and summer of 1988. I taught myself Data General’s Pascal and macro-assembly language in the summer of 1979 plus later years (1990 – 1994). Professor Fay Adcock Riddle, PhD, etc. taught me C (early 1990s), COBOL (Rear Admiral Grace Hopper’s Common Business Oriented Language) I (Spring 1994). I learned C++ (1995+) and C# (2003+) on my own. At Auburn I was taught Java both the PC and micro handheld versions, C for the Palm Pilot, Common LISP, more C on Apple computers this time, Scheme, etc. I continue to write the Microsoft C family of computer languages (C, C++, C#).
